biography

Marcy Richardson is a Canadian artist living and working in London, UK. Following a twenty-year career in brand direction and marketing in the UK, her practice acts as a visual reverse-engineering of corporate persuasion, interrogating socio-political fragility and the aesthetics of containment.

Working from her studio at SET Wimbledon, her work is deeply rooted in painting but frequently expands into printmaking, sculpture, and installation. Utilising dense textures and flattened, emblematic forms, Richardson uses material tension to examine the hidden mechanisms of everyday systems.

She graduates with an MA in Fine Art from the City & Guilds of London Art School in 2026, having previously completed the Turps Education Offsite Programme in 2023. Her work has been exhibited across institutional, commercial, and artist-led spaces. Notable venues include the Royal Academy of Arts Summer Exhibition, Hastings Contemporary, Safehouse Peckham, The Lido Stores Margate, and Auto Amor, alongside the recent duo exhibition REFUGE at the Crypt.
